Bible Focus

This week, we turn to probably the most famous of all the ‘But God’ statements in the entire Bible. Like all of our other passages, it only really makes sense if you read it in its wider context. In the preceding verses, Paul is discussing how rare it is for anyone to lay down their lives even for a good or a righteous person. In complete contrast, Jesus laid down his life for us even while we were still sinners and openly rebelling against him.
