Thy Kingdom Come prayer
Thy Kingdom Come (website) is an international prayer movement taking place between Ascension (26th May) and Pentecost Sunday (5th June). We are using the opportunity for a focus on our own prayer movement here at St Andrew's. There will be four main elements that we would like you to get involved in:
- Pick up your free Prayer Journal at church and use this as a basis for joining together with Christians around the world over the 10 day period. You can also download a digital copy and other resources here.
- Friday 27th May at 7am. Please join us for a prayer breakfast at the church. There will be a £5 donation for the breakfast.
- Wednesday 1st June, 7am-7pm. We are committing to making sure that people are praying throughout the day. We have a dedicated online prayer space, and are asking for people to sign up for a half hour slot to ensure that the whole day is covered by prayer.
- Wednesday 1st June at 7pm. Prayer walk over Barrhead, meeting up at St Luke's High School.
Please pick up one of the leaflets at church, which provides some ideas to help guide your prayers over the course of the 10 days.
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
