Christian Aid Carol Service

A Time to Mourn and a Time to Dance 

This December, Kelvinside Hillhead Church are holding a carol service in aid of Christian Aid. This will take place on Friday 12th December at 7pm. Glasgow artist, I.D. Campbell, will be revealing a painting titled, A Time to Mourn, a Time to Dance, featuring images from Christian Aid’s work in Gaza.

Former Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the Very Rev Sally Foster-Fulton will speak. Sally is currently UK and Global Churches Ambassador for Christian Aid. All are welcome- no RSVP needed! 

Iain Campbell is a Glasgow based portrait painter and is an Affiliate Artist of the UNESCO Chair in Refugee Integration through Languages and the Arts. His work focuses on bold portraits, exploring life in the face of adversity. Between 2016 and 2019, he was artist-in-residence at St. George’s Tron Church of Scotland in Glasgow. Iain is best known for his painting, Our Last Supper, featuring thirteen guests of Glasgow City Mission. He has also painted for Christian Aid, The World Council of Churches, Tearfund, and the Royal Society of Edinburgh. You may remember him from the A Lament in Black Paint project during COP26 in Glasgow.
